winning water

Winning Water is an educational resource for drinking water conservation. It was founded to promote children’s water festivals in the state of Georgia. Since then, it has morphed into a larger resource of information and educational tools to help both children and adults learn more about our most precious resource – water.

The original Winning Water festivals were developed to teach fourth grade students about ground, drinking, surface water (watersheds) and water quality in a fun hands-on atmosphere. Festivals were lively events with races and other friendly competitions to encourage kids to learn more about watersheds and what we can do to preserve them.

At this time there are no future state festivals scheduled. However, this website can serve as a resource to help you plan your own local Festival. Be sure to view the Festival Planning Guide on the Resources Page.
